Pastoral Care

Annulments

Persons have a right to have their status clarified in relationship to the Church. As there are many questions, concerns, and even some false information about the work of the diocesan tribunal, Deacon Jerry Williams, and his wife, Jackie, are trained advocates to assist those seeking an annulment. They are open and willing to walk with you during this time, by listening, caring, and helping you to complete the paper work as needed by the Church. It remains the Church's hope that healing and some level of closure is attained through this process.

Connecting with Care

This ministry provides help for everyone with basic needs regardless of age or economic status. These basic needs could vary in range from fixing a leaking faucet to washing windows to raking leaves. If you have a need, call Connecting With Care. You will be connected with a fellow parish member who has volunteered to be on call for small repair, handy-person projects and general help.
For help, or to volunteer to be a handy-person, contact Katherine Smith at 816-436-2389 or
kes11@mindspring.com, Shirley Duello at 816-436-1123 or snduello@juno.com, or Barbara Sloan at 816-769-4893.

Hospital Ministry

A group of volunteers regularly visits and takes Communion to North Kansas City Hospital. The Northland parishes rotate days of the week to visit North Kansas City Hospital. Tuesday and Friday are the days for St. Charles's visitation. If you are hospitalized, please call the parish office to inform us at 816-436-0880. This is even more important because of the changed federal laws of privacy.

If you are hospitalized at one of the other Kansas City hospitals and would like a visit, please call the parish office at 816-436-0880.

If you wish to participate in this ministry, please contact Keith and Kathy Altenhofen at 816-452-5076 for training and scheduling.
